You can watch the full episode below:

Dougie has had an illustrious career in Advertising, Marketing and Digital, as well as being a Founder and Entrepreneur on the side. For the past 15yrs, he has been at creative agency VCCP and is broadly regarded as one of the best ‘suits’ in the industry.

As International CEO, he is primarily responsible for the growth of the brand and the international hubs outside of London. Recently ranked as the number one agency in the UK, we explore how the longevity of the Leadership team has been crucial to their success, as well as embracing new ideas and most importantly ‘walking the walk’ by implementing change.

Dougie, originally from Manchester, a proud northerner, has managed to transcend his industry to help drive agendas in Diversity and Equality as well as champion areas of well-being and building inclusive cultures.

Outside of his role at the agency, Dougie sits on the Advisory Board at Meta, is Chair of BRiM (Black Representation in Marketing) and has recently finished in the prestigious role as President of the IPA. His ambitious 10x agenda to accelerate change in the industry also had a core focus on talent, society and diversity.

Listen as we discuss how ‘Talent is evenly distributed, but opportunity isn’t’, and the role that Leadership has a part to play in understanding and tackling this. How the creative industry can learn from the technology and gaming space that levelling up the UK is the responsibility of London-based businesses as well at the government level.

There is so much to learn from this session and themes that transcend far beyond the UK to most developed economies.
